The following are our picks for the greatest cricket victories of all time. Check out this post to find out what they are.

There have been several great and memorable matches across a huge range of disciplines throughout cricket. Every cricket fan remembers those moments long after having witnessed them. Over more than 130 years, this professional sport has given some remarkable team and individual play matches. Whether tournament, ODI, or Tests, there have been several matches that prove jaw-dropping score lines, heroic efforts on the face of looking at impossible odds, plain amazing play on the field, or greatest cricket victories. Undeniably, Australians are integral to much discussion regarding the greatest cricket matches. The following list looks at some of the greatest victories in Cricket. Naturally, such a selection is highly subjective. In addition, the following matches have been selected based on importance, how dramatic they were, and what sorts of score lines.

India vs Australia:

Heading into this match, Australia was the reigning One Day international powerhouse. Most people probably expect a one-sided result or, at minimum, a clear victory for the Australian team. The crowd was not surprised by the performance of the Australian cricket team. They played well on that 5th of November and scored 35 runs in their maximum 50 overs.

Facing the task of scoring 351 runs in 50 overs, it looks very difficult for India to chase that score. Sachin Tendulkar comes to take charge. He remained standing while the other player on the team was out. Australia’s nerves look shaken as their players start making mistakes all over the field. In the end, Sachin scored 175 runs and almost single-handedly made up the run gap. However, Australia wins that match, but Sachin gives a tough time to them. Undeniably, it was one of the greatest cricket victories that will be remembered in the history of cricket.

England vs New Zealand:

It is one of the most dramatic matches in the history of cricket. Additionally, the gravity of the situation of the match also makes it the greatest match of all time. Both teams had the opportunity to win their maiden World Cup. New Zealand won the toss and gave a chance to England to field first. In their maximum 50 overs, they score 241 runs. However, it was not a very big total in ODI crucial match, but history had to be written. The victory of England goes down in history as one of the greatest cricket victories.

England lost early wickets. Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Joe Root, and skipper Eoin Morgan were out with 86 runs on the board and nearly 27 overs left to play. It looks difficult for England to achieve the task.

New Zealander’s fans look happy, but Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler take responsibility for the team. They made a 110-run partnership for the fifth wicket. It will suddenly swing the game in England’s favor. Of course, the defeat was hard for the New Zealand team, and they must be ruing their luck.

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka:

No one has ever imagined that four days of dull Tests would suddenly transform into a thriller on the last day. Pakistani players show an incredible batting performance after lunch on the fifth day of the test match. They score 305 runs in 57.3 overs to sucker-punch Sri Lanka. They won the match with a run rate of 5.25 per over in the last innings. Azhar Ali played a brilliant inning of 103 for Pakistan. It is one of the greatest cricket victories.

Of course, Azhar got excellent support from captain Misbah ul Haq. He also scores 68 runs from 72 balls. Pakistan needs 195 runs in 35 overs at the start of the last session. They had decided to send Sarfaraz Ahmed at number 5 just before the tea break. He plays his natural game. He attacks Rangana Herath lots of times during his innings. Sarfaraz scores a brilliant 48 runs in just 46 balls. Luckily, Pakistan won that match with one over to go.

India vs Sri Lanka:

The list of the greatest cricket victories is incomplete without including this greatest victory of India. If a cricket match can ever be compared to boxing, this one was it. Like two heavy-weight boxers, India and Sri Lanka blast away at each other. Both teams scored more than 400 runs in that match. Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to field first. The Indian batter made the most of their time, especially the team’s top order. Virender Sehwag scored 146 runs when India finished their innings with an impressive 414 runs.

The score is too big and looks insurmountable. Just like the Indians, the top order of Sri Lanka was devastating. Tillakaratne Dilshan plays an incredible inning of 160 runs. Unfortunately, the Sri Lankan team fell just short of victory. A mere three runs lost them. Of course, it was a great victory for the Indian team.

Conclusion:

Here you learn just a few greatest wins, but history has many greatest cricket victories. Of course, the game is going on, and in the future, you will watch more victories that will also become memorials.
