Sri Lanka scored 952/6d against India in 1997 which is highest innings total & New Zealand scored 26 against England in 1955 which lowest innings total in the history of the longest format of the game.

Interestingly, John Reid was the match referee in 1997’s match & he played for New Zealand as a player in 1955’s match.

In the first match of Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan ODI series in 2018 Afghanistan scored 333/5 while batting first & in reply Zimbabwe bundled out for 179 runs

While in the second match of the series Zimbabwe scored 333/5 & while chasing, this time Afghanistan scored 179 runs !

[4] Twin Brother Dismissing Each Other in A Same Match

There is only one such instance , when twin brothers dismissed each other in a same match in first class history.

In a county match between Lancashire & Leicestershire in 2019 , Matthew Parkinson dismissed (LBW) his brother Callum Parkinson in the first innings of Leicestershire.

While in the first innings of Lancashire, Callum dismissed his brother Matthew in the same manner (LBW)!

[5] Dennis Lillee & Ravi Ashwin – 300 Wickets

Dennis Lillee took his 300th test wicket on 27th November (1981) which was his 4th wicket in that innings. And Australia’s captain Greg Chappell scored 200 in the match.

On the other hand, Ravi Ashwin took his 300th test wicket on the exact date 27th November (2017) which was also his 4th wicket in the innings. And in that match India’s captain Virat Kohli scored 200.

Virat Kohli has the same number of wickets in ODI, T20I & IPL. He has taken 4 wickets in each of the mentioned formats.

Also, Rohit Sharma was the fielder when Kohli took his last wicket in ODI & T20I.

Coincidentally, Pedro Collins of West Indies dismissed Hannan Sarkar in all of the 3 occasions.

4/53 – this was the bowling figure (in an innings) for both of the Greig brothers in their debut test match.

Though, Tony Grieg took 4 for 53 in the 2nd innings of his debut match in 1972 while his brother did so in the first innings in 1982

200* vs South Africa in 2010, 186* vs New Zealand in 1999, 175 vs Australia in 2009 — these are the top 3 best scores for Sachin Tendulkar in ODI & Shavir Tarapore was the umpire in all of these matches.
